Comment 3 Pierre Bonneau 2011-06-05 21:12:48 CEST
when you click on the baterry(on the right side, in the notification plasmoid), it open a small window with some indication about the batery. If you click with the left button inside it, you can move the background.
Background should be fixed.

Battery Icon in normal position

It is really an issue?

When I click on the battery applet, and move mouse into window, I seen the battery applet icon moving to the left of network icon. When I close it, the battery indicator go back to expected position...

I think this bug must be fixed, but its severity must be minor. It is a cosmethic behavior. See my screenshots.

Battery Icon in changed position

When I move mouse pointer into box, battery icon jumps to 1st position... :)

Moving box shows battery palsmoid

Here we can see the battery plasmoid in the lower left corner. The plasmoid can be resized, etc... but it is not the expected behavior to plasmoids?

If you close the box (or click again into battery icon) the box is shown in its default state.

Hi,

The problem is not really the battery monoitor position, but the ability to move the content in a strange way inside the "popup" that open.

It could be minor, you are right, I didn't really know what severity select. But it's is a very common (and by defalut) plasmoid for netbook, so that mean that all users will have this messy design on there direct desktop.

I meant "lower right corner"... ooops :(

I agree, for lower screens it is a issue. But I cannot tell if it is a plasmoid issue or a desktop issue. Maybe one of KDE team may explain better...

In my current config (IaOra on a i810 card with compiz), I couldn't reproduce your problem. The contents of box aren't moved. Only the box itself can be moved when clicking on the caption title (this is expected). The battery plasmoid is shown behind of box when moving.

If the plasmoid itself is moved or resized, the contents does not fit sometimes, and I could see the problem (into plasmoid only). Never see it on box.

If you can, please make a small video capture showing your problem and point it here.

Moving dialog content

If i get this right the problem is that if you click on empty place and hold on left mouse button you can drag content up or down. Behind frame.

Is this what you see as a problem?

Did you report upstream as suggested in comment#14 ?
Comment 17 Pierre Bonneau 2011-10-01 11:05:25 CEST
what is upstream ?
Comment 18 Samuel Verschelde 2011-10-01 11:22:55 CEST
Upstream means the developers of plasma-krunner-powerdevil. In a distribution we are downstream, the developers of all software are upstream to us :)

In this case, upstream is KDE, and bugs can be reported here:
https://bugs.kde.org/

LOL, a quick search for https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=ALL+plasma-krunner-powerdevil returns 0 results, I guess because it thinks the dashes in plasma-krunner-powerdevil mean NOT.
https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=ALL+powerdevil works better, if this bug was reported before, I look over it.

@ Pierre
Please report there ( https://bugs.kde.org/ )
And put the link to the report you made, in the "See Also: Add Bug URL's:" field of this report.
