Description roger herz-fischler 2015-05-29 15:19:01 CEST
Description of problem: impossible to use, because I can not read.
virtual desktops do not work

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): I installed caldron on my brand new desktop. KDE desktop

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install a USB
2. try to read options (answer: all virtually black)
3. click on all three to try to get konqueror (preferred file manager) to open (answer: none)

1. Click on leave button
2. try to read options (answer: can not see, virtually black)

1. open up a panel and click on "install widgets"
2. locate "system monitor" (icon = monitor with wavy lines)
3. move to panel
4. Note that instead of the monitor one has 5 or 6 tiny icons, none of which seems to be the correct one (too small to read)
5. note further that the KDE menu does not have a "configure your desktop" choice

1. open up a two processes on the same virtual desktop
2. hover above that virtual desktop
3. note that the application icons are so small that you can barely distinguish
   them
4. try choosing one of the two (answer: impossible)

Hi. Please open different bugs for different issues next time (we might still ask you to do so for this bug report in the future).

However, I don't remember people reporting such issues regarding KDE, although lots of QA testers have tested it.

How was the installation made? Can you provide your /root/drakx/report.bug.xz file? Can you attach screenshots that show the problems so that we understand better?

CC: (none) => mageia

Because of Samuel's message I reinstalled Mageia 5 caldron using the same DVD as before.

The problems stated in this bug did not reproduce. The only possible thing that I can think of is that---as I recall---I put a Mageia classic panel at the top,
whereas now I used a default panel (and then deleted the panel at the bottom),

Well, this is good news. If you can reproduce and give exact steps to reproduce, please do. Meanwhile, I'm closing this bug report as WORKSFORME, you can reopen if you (or someone else) manages to reproduce.
