olav I think this is is part of gstreamer1.0-plugins-good. That's so standard, that I'm guessing the gstreamer plugin cache is corrupt. Please run: rm -f ~/.cache/gstreamer-1.0/registry.*.bin then try again. Please report back. Keywords:

NEEDINFO Hi, I did it, but there is no change. Sorry. Is this any video file? I watched various *.mkv video files yesterday without any error message. Could you try creating a new user and watch a video using that account? Keywords:

NEEDINFO The result *was* the same, but : When i installed Mageia 5 RC, i didn't format my /home. Removing the old conf files about Totem and Gstreamer (0.1 & 1.0) in my home solved the problem. Sorry for the noise, and thank you for the help. One question we could ask ourselves is whether other users can be affected too after they upgrade to Mageia 5 keeping their home. Yeah, I still like to figure out what caused this. It's solved for you, but it shouldn't have happened. It's not noise at all, you shouldn't have had the issue! So, happy to have made my contribution. Should this be closed now? Is it likely upgrades are finished? CC:

nic I didn't hear any other complaints. Not that I really keep an eye on them. But think we can close this. Can easily open another bugreport. Status:
