Description macxi 2011-06-04 15:58:36 CEST
The modifications in "menu application launcher" can't be saved because the folder ".config/menus" is property of root.

Is this correct?

In a Mageia 1, as simple user, I can't save changes to the menu, before I need change the property of the folders from root to my user simple.

In Mageia RC, this folder is not of "root", but of the user simple.

no problems for me.
".config/menus" has the normal user as owner

That's a local problem on your setup, i.e. everything in your /home should be owned by your user name; it looks like you ran an app as root that changed the permissions.

To confirm, just test in a newly created user account.

Closing as invalid, if you can reproduce the issue, in a new user account, reopen the report

I created a new user and the problem didn't repeated.

In the new user, the folder does not exist, it is created when I edit and save changes to the menu. And it was created as user and not root.

According your suggestion, I will look at new installations Mageia that I do, and if the error occurs, I reopen. Thanks.
