Maybe this is a duplicate to 15534

I am using Mageia 5 beta3 plus updates.

I am using the KDE Desktop

Time synchronizing does not work neither from the systray applet nor MCC nor KDE settings.

MCC/Systray applet: I can select ntp time synching and a time server. I can set the time zone to Europe/Berlin, but when I click okay the time does not change.
When going back to the utility the tick box for time synching is empty again.

KDE settings: Time Zone is Antarctica/Troll. I can select a new time zone (Europe/Berlin). When I click okay an error message appears telling me that a connection to the time server (europe.pool.ntp.org) cannot be established. Pinging the time server is no problem. ping times are approx. 15 ms.

On my computer I can solve this problem.

- Use your preferable file manager and go to /etc/localtime. This is a symlink.
- On my pc the target was /mnt/usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Berlin
- Delete the "/mnt"
- Then - on my pc - everything is running again, either systray or mcc or KDE settings.
