During install I got an error message:
An error occurred:
ERROR: 'script' failed for mageia-kde4-config-common-5.0.2150204.2.mga5
OK and install continued on just fine

Confirmed on real hardware during an install from a DVD-RW: Fujitsu D1711 motherboard, Sempron 3100+ processor, Geforce 6200OC AGP video card. Server kernel had been installed.

Not seen using same DVD-RW in a Dell Dimension E310, P4 processor and onboard Intel graphics, where the desktop kernel had been installed.

That's not an installer issue but a packaging issue.

yep, it's probably only a missing
Requires(post): update-alternatives
in mageia-kde4-config-common. I forgot to add it.
But I prefer to verify with ddebug.log.

mageia-kde4-config-common-5-0.20150204.2.mga5.noarch
and update-alternatives is installed later.

This confirms that it's due to the missing "Requires(post): update-alternatives" in common.

Fixed in mageia-kde4-config-5-0.20150204.3.mga5.
