After the initial stage of glibc, perl, rpm updates the second stage fails with an segmentation fault:
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1".
Core was generated by `/usr/bin/perl /usr/sbin/urpmi bash'.
Program terminated with signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Yeah, there was temporarily a broken perl-URPM on the mirrors,
you can install a fixed one with:

rpm -Uvh http://mirrors.kernel.org/mageia/distrib/cauldron/x86_64/media/core/release/perl-URPM-5.05-1.mga5.x86_64.rpm

Status: NEW => RESOLVED

Source RPM: glibc-2.20-16.mga5.src.rpm => perl-URPM

i didn't find that file (404) but true, version 5.05 fixes that problem.
