Two bugs in homerun kicker first file picker is missing from settings panel to change icon shows in panel.

Second bug is minor it add too much empty space to around kicker icon it move everything added to panel can see it from first screenshot.

Hi Otto. Are you using Plasma 5 or KDE Plasma 4.x?

There is a Errata about it for Mageia 4 https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_4_Errata#default_panel_icon_size_too_big

For me Homerun 1.2.5 fixed it. I will investigate more.

Hi Otto, can you confirm if the information in Errata (mentioned in #3) fix the problem with icon size?

"To fix it, go to System Settings > Application Appearance > Icons > Advanced > Panel and adjust the size (e.g. to 32) and then logout/login."

About the file picker, can you test if it happen with another Plasma themes, like Oxygen? Which theme are you using?

Yes it fixes that panel icon size but that filepicker is still missing even with oxygen plasma theme.

My themes are kvantum engine and dynamo plasma theme and kvantum theme.

Hi Otto, there is not Homerun Kicker in Plasma 5... or, in fact there is, but not as a additional applet. In Plasma 5 there is an alternative default launcher based in Homerun Kicker of Plasma 4.

I can not to reproduce your bug, but I am talking with some friends to verify if them can to reproduce it.

Yes there is no homerun kicker in plasma 5 but very close to it. 

Some other distros have that filepicker working but in some distros like mageia it's missing.

I have tested it in pure kde 4.14 without any theme engine than oxygen installed but still have that same bug.

Hi Otto, I can to confirm the bug. Just a package rebuild fix it. I asked for Mageia team to rebuild the package. I will write here when the package to be rebuilt.

Hi Otto, please verify if the file picker is missing yet (I imagine this time KDE re-generated the cache). Case not, install plasma-applet-homerun-devel and see if it fix the problem. An user reports it worked. Thanks!

I'll take a look tomorrow i changed my system to plasma 5 so i don't have anymore problem with it anymore,but i will help to get it solved.

No i try that regenerate icon cache still there was no filepicker,but that devel package seems to fix it in test install.

I solved where is that problem devel packages installs libhomerun.so to /usr/lib64 it's symlink.
i removed all homerun packages and installed only homerun kicker and copied that symlink and it shows filepicker.

Yes there is but this will be only Mageia 5 bug as next cauldron move to plasma 5 what obsolete this homerun-kicker.

Closing as OLD then, because Mageia 5 has officially reached its End of Life on December 31st, 2017 https://blog.mageia.org/en/2017/11/07/mageia-5-eol-postponed/
It only continued to get important security updates since then, but non-security bugs have no chance of still getting fixed.

We regret that we weren't able to fix this issue.
