Description David Walser 2015-02-13 22:03:08 CET
System-config-printer 1.5.5 was announced on February 6:
https://lists.fedorahosted.org/pipermail/system-config-printer-devel/2015-February/000177.html

I've built it locally and checked it into SVN and it seems to work fine. Unfortunately it doesn't fix Bug 14981.

My one concern about it is the python3-firewall dependency they added in Fedora:
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/system-config-printer.git/commit/?h=f22&id=c8da20d1b2aa4599fd894ffc29a6f352c7c9e2f6

We don't have this package, and we wouldn't, as it comes from the firewalld SRPM, and we don't use firewalld in Mageia. I hope that this is just an optional dependency and nothing will break if you don't have it, but I could use some helping taking a look at it to verify this. It runs fine for me, and I was able to add a printer and print a test page.

I have checked and for me it is ok

python3-firewall is optional, firewallsettings.py code manage this well.

About bug 14981, I don't know

I think you can ask for a freeze push
