Description Daniel Le Berre 2011-06-02 14:57:46 CEST
For all packages coming from mageia, we have the following warning (here in French):

Attention : C'est un paquetage officiel qui est supporté par Mageia

This should not be a warning, just an information, because people expect packages coming from mageia distro to be supported by mageia.

So, in that case, the "Warning: " prefix should be simply removed.

In the case of non free and tainted repositories, we would like to see a warning saying:

Warning: those packages are not open source, see that software license for details.
Warning: those packages may violate some software patents, see [tainted definition web page on mageia.org] for more details.

The English/original word is "Notice" not Warning.

QA Contact: (none) => mageia-i18n

Comment 2 Daniel Le Berre 2011-06-02 18:26:35 CEST
ok, notice is certainly better than warning :)

The localization in French could be then "Avis" instead of "Attention".

Anyway, I think that the comment still holds.

Resolved no ? (since we have no warnings)
Comment 4 Thierry Vignaud 2011-09-01 15:58:38 CEST
the "avis" word isn't beautiful.
I would use "information" but that's not ideal
Or maybe we could change the english word to "status"

That would be fine with me. ("N.B. :" and "Attention :" would be the french translations)
