Description Morgan Leijström 2015-02-07 15:10:29 CET
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rpmdrake-6.13-1.mga5.src.rpm
drakxtools-16.52-1.mga5.src.rpm
x11-server-1.16.3-1.mga5.src.rpm
x11-driver-video-7.7-6.mga5.src.rpm
fglrx-14.501.1003-3.mga5.nonfree.src.rpm

In terminal there is:
-----8<------
(drakrpm:7789): Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'drakrpm' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 40735 error_code 11 request_code 131 (MIT-SHM) minor_code 5)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment
variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
----->8------

How reproducible:
Always on my fileserver: AMD E-350 , ATI radeon/fglrx
Not on my workstation: Intel i7, nvidia
Both machines are fully updated and rebooted cauldron 64 bit, KDE.
The server have a large screen resolution, the fileserver lower.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start mcc in terminal, select install/remove software
2. search and select the owncloud package (which have very many files)
3. click files, it may download an xml, and shows top of list
4. scroll down with either mouse slider or down key, after a few rows it crash and we are back in mcc.

Now it did not crash when browsing the file list, but with that showing and i pulled the corner of diskdrake window, it crashed with:

(drakrpm:22174): Gtk-WARNING **: GtkImage 0x4b7fe40 attempted to adjust its size allocation from -12,1 1168x54 to 0,0 1156x55. adjust_size_allocation must keep allocation inside original bounds

(drakrpm:22174): Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'drakrpm' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.

What's your graphic card? Intel?
Do you still see it with x11-server-1.16.3-2.mga5?

Is this still valid? I seem i cannot reproduce it.

Just out of curiosity do you still have this problem by using rpmdragora
(manatools-qt or manatools-gtk according to your desktop)?

I can not reproduce it today :)
Also, it has gotten much quicker at scrolling both the packages scrollbar and the file list scrollbar.
64 bit Mageia 5 (it was cauldron when i reported it)
