Installing Mageia-4.1-i586-DVD on Dell Dimension 8300 I got the following error message,

The installation started over again and then I got the following error message,

unable to install package /tmp/image/media/core/

The installation started over again and then I got the following error message,

'unpack' failed for aisleriot-3.10.2-1.mga4.i586
unable to install package /tmp/image/media/core/acpid-2.0.20-1.mga4.i586.rpm

then

aisleriot is needed by gnome-games-3.10.1-2.mga4.noarch

Then I got to enter passwords and username

Later I had to install from the exactly same DVD to the exactly same computer but on a different HDD, because the first one broke down. Then I had no such problems.

Hi, sorry that your bug report got overlooked. I suspect a hardware issue, not a bug in Mageia. That's why I'll close this bug as WORKSFORME. However, if you can still reproduce with Mageia 5RC (we can't fix Mageia 4 DVDs now), feel free to reopen the bug report.
