Description David Walser 2015-01-16 15:05:55 CET
In current Cauldron, when playing a track, the playback is choppy, there are a lot of skips/interruptions. I originally noticed this on a Virtualbox VM, but have since confirmed the issue on a physical machine. Phonon-VLC is in use. Clementine does not exhibit this problem.

Pulseaudio is not in use in the VM and is in use on the physical machine, so it doesn't appear to have an impact on this issue.
Comment 2 David Walser 2015-01-26 22:59:10 CET
Absolutely nothing has changed in the Amarok package since Mageia 4. When I get a chance I'll have to test with phonon-gstreamer to see if the issue persists with that.
Comment 3 David Walser 2015-01-30 23:06:53 CET
With current updates, I'm having difficulty reproducing this with either phonon backend, so maybe something fixed it.

In other news, phonon-vlc should be updated to 0.8.2. I built it locally and it works fine.

Closing this bug for now.
