Hej !

I'm installing the 64 bit mageia 4.1 kde live from a downloaded iso image.

The error occured when I wanted GRUB2 to be installed on /dev/sda22 and not on /dev/sda.

My system is a ASUS Z87 pro motherboard with UEFI bios and GPT partitioned hd. I don't think it's a good idea to put the bootloader on /dev/sda in this case.

Thanks for your report.

Even if for UEFI / GPT systems it is better to follow the instructions here
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/UEFI_how-to
draklive-install should not have crashed when writing the grub2 bootloader to the beginning of your root partiion (or was /dev/sda22 not your root partition?)

It would be interesting to know whether this happens with a 5beta1 Live iso, too.

Would you have time to check? (Unfortunately, 5beta1 has no UEFI support at all, but work is being done to get it in 5beta2)
