Description David Walser 2015-01-07 21:15:23 CET
Upgrading two systems from Mageia 4 to Cauldron using the graphical installer, at the end of installing packages, it popped up a dialog saying there was a script error for the ncl-common package. This is nonsense, as that package has no scriptlets. Furthermore, the ncl-common package was not installed before or after the upgrade. Perhaps a scriptlet did actually fail for some package, but it got confused and printed the wrong package.

The actual error message was (as found in ddebug.log and report.bug):
urpmi error: ERROR: 'script' failed for ncl-common-6.1.2-2.mga4.i586:

This is an issue with urpmi, and I even saw it with a VM upgraded just with urpmi and not using the installer.
