5beta2 (In reply to Marja van Waes from comment #0) > > The old wallpaper looked fine on the same system, in an install from the > dual iso from december 20 or 21. and after fully updating that partition, the new wallpaper looks perfect there, too. I'm blind to what the difference between those installs is, only suppose it must be a changed default setting. On today's install, the new theme looks fine during boot up and even in the lightdm screen, it is only when XFCE is fully started that it suddenly looks so weird.

Mga5 wallpaper isn't rendered correctly =>
Mga5 wallpaper isn't rendered correctly in install from January 6 iso @ wally I'm guessing this is caused by an XFCE setting, therefore assigning to you. I intend to check whether this is only an issue on this system with the last dual iso (if so: feel free to ignore the problem, I don't really care), or whether it also occurs on XFCE installs from the large DVD, and/or on different hardware. jani.valimaa I've not changed anything in Xfce settings and can't say any setting which might cause such problem. Looks more like a HW problem. Assigning back to bugsquad. Assignee:

Assigning back to > bugsquad. OK, so it can't be caused by a setting. It can't be a hardware or software problem either, because on the same hw the problem does not exist with an older and fully updated cauldron. Conclusion, this bug does not exist :-) Moreover, Luigi12 saw that the right mageia logo in my screenshot seems to say "Marja", which made MrsB conclude that this is not a bug, but a feature ;-) Anyway, can't reproduce either on a different laptop with an XFCE-only install from the classical 64bit DVD Status:
