Description Bobbie Sellers 2014-12-19 04:51:57 CET
Mageia-5-beta1-LiveDVD-KDE4-x86_64-DVD.iso has been checksummed and
written to 2 different DVDs.
The UEFI boot hangs when the disk cannot find itself. It generates
a report that I cannot access.
The regular boot goes further to the point of showing a Mageia startup
screen background, the covers 2/3 or more of the screen with a black
space with the words "starting Version xxx" when that goes away I am
left with the startup screen backgroun simply hanging with no dish activity.
and the keyboard locked out. I had to hit the power switch to reboot.

I am using a HPP-TS-15-n225nrc notebook with an AMD A10 4 core with Radeon
graphics that has worked fine with Mageia 4.1 (4.0 would not work and
the hardware detection failed.)

This bug is identical to bug #14367.

A workaround is described on https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13694#c10
