11844 Should it be a missing deps on mageiawelcome? Not sure. It provides /usr/bin/gnome-open which is probably not needed anywhere other than gnome. It could maybe be missing from xdg-utils which provides /usr/bin/xdg-open Apologies, it was just being slow to open. CC:

(In reply to claire robinson from comment #5) > Apologies, it was just being slow to open. MageiaWelcome is all right with MATE or no? Mate should not require libgnome* ? CC:

tarakbumba Yes, fine in mate, I acted to quickly sorry. Installing gvfs package also fixes this problem. Although it pulls around 15M other packages as dependency (recommends). Tested on fresh install from Gnome Live DVD pre-release mga5b2 iso. Then again we have missing dependancies. Also recommends are not used by installer by default

Summary:
5beta2: Gnome installation misses libgnome2 used by xdg-open and MageiaWelcome =>
5beta2: Gnome installation misses gvfs used by xdg-open and MageiaWelcome Nothing in GNOME strictly requires gvfs. So adding a "Requires" anywhere is pretty much incorrect (it really is a recommend). I could add a require in mageiawelcome, but not sure. I'm thinking of just adding gvfs to CAT_GNOME in rpmsrate-raw. Packages can only appear once in that file though, and seems Cinnamon isn't doing the right thing with that. Added to rpmsrate-raw. So gvfs should be installed in next iso (I think:P).
