Description Chris Denice 2014-12-09 19:46:58 CET
Just tested nouveau driver on current Cauldron and AIGLX fails to start (I get X without glx acceleration though).

In the logs, I can see in various places that when nouveau_dri is called, the following error messages appear:

64.310] (EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib64/dri/nouveau_dri.so failed (/usr/lib64/dri/nouveau_dri.so: undefined symbol: _glapi_tls_Dispatch)
[ 64.310] (EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering
[ 64.316] (EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib64/dri/swrast_dri.so failed (/usr/lib64/dri/swrast_dri.so: undefined symbol: _glapi_tls_Dispatch)

The kernel is: 3.18.0-desktop-1.mga5

It seems that either some recompilation is needed, or some missing requires?

On my machine; the following package is installed:

lib64glapi0-10.4.0-2~rc4.1.mga5.tainted.x86_64

and provides libglapi.so.0.

7 months later, no reply, so closing as OLD

Please reopen if you see this happen again in current cauldron
