jani.valimaa aMSN-version is: 0.98.4 It's still running, yes. Checked by typing: ps aux | grep amsn Which desktop environment are you using? Gnome. Gnome. Oooops. Double-post. And this "crash" happens every time you run aMSN? I even tried a fresh installation & as I choose to minimize it to the panel aMSN seemed to disappear. Doing ps aux | grep amsn confirms that it's still running. 500 11892 5.6 1.7 271240 59372 ? I installed debug-package to run it with gdb.
This confirms that it is the same version:
[root@localhost ~]# urpmi amsn-debug
$MIRRORLIST: media/debug/core/release/amsn-debug-0.98.4-3.mga1.x86_64.rpm
installing amsn-debug-0.98.4-3.mga1.x86_64.rpm from /var/cache/urpmi/rpms
Förbereder... #############################################
1/1: amsn-debug #############################################
[root@localhost ~]# rpm -qa amsn
amsn-0.98.4-3.mga1
gdb amsn handle SIGPIPE noprint nostop nopass isn't working for amsn. Even tried gdb /usr/share/amsn or gdb /usr/bin/amsn What can I try next? This time, when running it from Terminal/Console it isn't disappearing. Weird behavior if you ask me. I even took a look on the setting to minimize in aMSN & it's gui & the box is checked.
