With gdb:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0xae794ce3 in _GLOBAL__sub_I_qprinterinfo.cpp () from /lib/libQtGui.so.4 

So, it's conflict Qt4/Qt5.

This problem (but with a qt4 application (amarok) using a qt5 vlc (through phonon-vlc) is now discussed in bug 15311 .

Bug is not closed for tano and is not fixed.
Rebuild did not help.

Tano does not crash for me with lib64vlc-qt0.9 0.9.0-8.mga5, it can even play some video files. It looks like it still loads the vlc 'qt4' gui plugin, though.

Yes, tano still loads the vlc 'qt4' gui plugin.
