Is there any output (console or GUI) that shows any indication of why it fails? (In reply to David Walser from comment #1) > Is there any output (console or GUI) that shows any indication of why it > fails? No. I'd like to understand: does draklog try to install rsyslog and fail, or does it just fail because rsyslog is not present? Keywords:

https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12182 Draklog try to install syslog-daemon and fail. I marked this bug as duplicate of mga#12182 with according Florian Hubold's comment https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12182#c10 : "Also the handling of required "syslog-daemon" is partly broken. When selected first, and when it cannot install the package, it will still enable logs in menu." *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 12182 *** Status:
