MPD is configured for using Alsa by default. In Mageia PulsAudio is default so maybe mpd should use it by default also. This can be done by adding: load-module module-native-protocol-tcp auth-ip-acl=127.0.0.1 to /etc/pulse/default.pa and changing /etc/mpd.conf to have: audio_output { type "pulse" name "Local MPD" server "127.0.0.1" } Reproducible: Steps to Reproduce:
