ahmadsamir3891 Installed into gnome, no problems so far, thankyou :) I've installed gpodder on my i586 system from Core Backports Testing.
After starting it from a terminal, as I've never used it before I selected
the option to "Choose from a list of example podcasts". The terminal showed ...
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/gpodder/gtkui/interface/welcome.py", line 46, in on_show_example_podcasts
self.gPodderWelcome.destroy()
AttributeError: 'gPodderWelcome' object has no attribute 'gPodderWelcome'
Then nothing else happens.
The following shows the packages pulled in during the install ...
(medium "Core Release")
mutagen 1.20 3.mga1 noarch
python-gpod 0.8.0 3.mga1 i586

python-eyed3 0.6.17 4.mga1 noarch
python-mygpoclient 1.5 3.mga1 noarch
python-pymtp 0.0.4 7.mga1 i586

Ok, testing complete on my i586 system. I closed the startup assistant and used the discover new podcasts to find one and get it, and then have it play. Has it been tested on a 64 bit system yet? When it has, the packages python-mygpoclient pymad python-eyed3 python-pymtp gpodder from the srpm packages python-mygpoclient-1.5-3.mga1.src.rpm pymad-0.6-5.mga1.src.rpm python-eyed3-0.6.17-4.mga1.src.rpm python-pymtp-0.0.4-7.mga1.src.rpm gpodder-2.15-2.mga1.src.rpm will be ready to move from Core Backports Testing to Core Backports

qa-bugs (For future reference, please leave the Assignee field to the packager working on the report, he/she may well have some other fixes queued before assigning to qa and requesting validation to for the update/backport to be finalised). gpodder-2.15-2.1mga1 suggests python-dbus. @sysadm: I think those packages should go to core/updates, they existed in Mandriva, so this should offer an easier upgrade: gpodder python-pymtp python-mygpoclient pymad python-eyed3

stormi hmm, I read too fast and submitted only gpodder, I'll submit the rest. (In reply to comment #14) > Can someone submit this to updates_testing repository ? Sorry, this one fell off my radar (too many bug mail). Samuel VERSCHELDE said he'll do it. The packages were pushed, but I haven't tested them. Summary:
gpodder package backports request =>
Update candidate : gpodder (was : gpodder package backports request) I uninstalled the packages installed in comment 7, then reinstalled gpodder, from Core Updates Testing. Used gpodder to get a new podcast. After it downloaded, right clicked on an episode and selected play, and it played with amarok. Testing on i586 looks ok. When tesing complete on x86-64, the packages pymad python-eyed3 python-pymtp python-mygpoclient gpodder from the srpm packages pymad-0.6-5.1.mga1.src.rpm python-eyed3-0.6.17-4.1.mga1.src.rpm python-pymtp-0.0.4-7.1.mga1.src.rpm python-mygpoclient-1.5-3.1.mga1.src.rpm gpodder-2.15-2.2.mga1.src.rpm should be moved from Core Updates Testing to Core Updaves. This update still needs testing on x86_64 exept the same of comment 7, all works on my x86_64 OS. Feel free to move. PS: maybe we can remove gppoder from backport_testing ? http://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pub/linux/Mageia/distrib/1/i586/media/core/backports_testing/ CC:

sysadmin-bugs Don't forget to give the advisory so that the sysadmins don't have to hunt it down in the comments. Advisory: This update adds the gpodder graphical podcast catcher that was present in Mandriva 2010.2 but absent from Mageia 1, as well as its dependencies. Pushed. Status:
