Description igor ivanov 2014-10-27 00:44:42 CET
Description of problem:
tor-browser-linux64-4.0_fr fine worked before firefox was updated (last version: firefox-31.2.0-1.mga4.x86_64); since firefox was updated, it no longer works

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
tor-browser-linux64-4.0_fr this version, downloaded on the site www.torproject.org doesn't require any installation, just extract tor-browser-linux64-4.0_fr.tar.xz and run.
the previous version of tor worked fine too.

How reproducible: download linux64-4.0_fr.tar.xz on www.torproject.org, extract the tarball, install the directory tor-browser_fr in the user directory (here /home/toto) and run it:
[toto@mageia4_64 ~]$ ./tor-browser_fr/start-tor-browser

Not our problem,
you are using a prebuilt tarball from an external site, nothing we can do about that...

And looking on the above message: "Could not bind to 127.0.0.1:9151: Address already in use. Is Tor already running?"

do you have a tor client already running ? you could try to reboot to clean out any stale running processes...

Status: NEW => RESOLVED
CC: (none) => tmb
Resolution: (none) => INVALID
