Description of problem:
During installation:
no ask about kb nor localization, Grub2 failed to  detect the other Mageia OSes, added them manually. 

At the first reboot:
when expecting the connection screen, the bubbles went away and the  computer halted. 
Reboot -> idem 
Reboot using Advanced options/With Linux desktop mode (Grub2), the system asked  for  root password and user and then started normally. But the kb layout  was  qwerty, no MCC and no Internet connection. 
I could configure Internet and mirrors in a console + update 
Reboot -> when expecting the connection screen, the bubbles went away  and the computer halted. 
Reboot using Advanced options/With Linux desktop mode -> idem 
no more possible boot

As it was impossible to boot I re-used the partition to carry on other MAB1 tests.
So, to answer your question, I used again the same dd command to dump the same ISO on the same USB stick and installed MAB1 Live DVD 64 on the same partitions of the same computer. The result is totally different ! Everything worked fine, even the arrows were there to mount the partition (bug 13673).
The only bug still valid is the MCC icons not working (bug 13600)
The file /root/drakx/report.bug.xz isn't present.
