Description John Balcaen 2011-05-24 18:06:19 CEST
Maybe we can have more freespace on KDE4 live cd by removing some « useless » rpm from a KDE POV :

kde4-splash-mga can be simply dropped from the dvd/iso/rpmstrate since we don't have any svg for mageia currently so it's a useless package.

do we really need libreoffice-ure-3.3.2.2-13.mga1.i586.rpm by default ? (2,2M)

pinentry-gtk2-0.8.1-2.mga1 should probably not be on the kde iso(especially since we have pinentry-qt4

draksnapshot & rsnasphot should be dropped too (if i'm not wrong we don't have draksnapshot on rpmstrate so we could also get ride of rsnapshot)

seahorse should also be dropped from the kde4 live cd (1,6M)

Should we really provide totem when we're providing dragon ?
(or do we need it only for totem-mozilla ? )

Should we provide packagekit-gstreamer-plugin ?
if i'm not wrong currently it's not working since the urpmi backend does not provide the correct functionnality (so we can get ride of packagekit library too)

@ John
@ Olivier

The target milestone isn't set, but this is a wish list for Mageia 2 KDE live CD, isn't it?

Yep.
But in fact we should start thinking about what should fit on the live cd (for gnome/kde/xfce ) & probably also don't use task-de to install package (because in that case we might encounter some problems with auto-orphans when removing a « important » package ).
