Description of problem:
Mageia has package of Comix 4.0.4 in the repository. Comix last update is October 2009. MComix is a fork of the Comix project, and aims to add bug fixes and stability improvements after Comix development came to a halt in late 2009. MComix is an user-friendly, customizable image viewer. It is specifically designed to handle comic books, but also serves as a generic viewer. It reads images in ZIP, RAR, 7Zip, LHA or tar/gz/bz2 archives as well as plain image files.

Thanks for the report. I uploaded mcomix-1.00 to the Cauldron repositories and it appears to work locally. Resolving as fixed.

The package was removed from the Mageia8 repositories, apparently because of a dependency on python2. MComix has an updated version now that works with python3. It would be nice to get the updated package back in the repositories.
