Booting with this harddrive also causes the kernel to panic. I don't experience this issue in Mageia 4.

I don't feel like using Testing-medias as I don't want to break the system even more. I'm now trying to rebuild the src.rpm and it takes a lot of time and it seems to be missing a certain file in the linux-directory. Rebuilding the src.rpm failed due to a missing patch, namely disable-mrproper-prepare-scripts-configs-in-devel-rpms.patch (In reply to Thomas Backlund from comment #5) > Does it happend with the 3.17-rc3 ?
