Dear All,


Description of problem:
At boot the system stop with the information:
dracut Warning: Could not boot.
dracut Warning : /dev/mapper/sil_aja***p2 does not exit


ls /dev/mapper:
sil_aja***2 (without the "p")

like this old bug:
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6180 but the installation work without problem. The problem arrive only after the installation when the system restart.

Dracut don't detect the partition.

dracut-038-2.mga5 ready for you when it hits the mirror.

I reverted this commit:
http://git.kernel.org/cgit/boot/dracut/dracut.git/commit/?id=dade93b4eb9dfe8e2856e2b8bba0575235940f2b

which itself is a revert and should restore the previous behaviour we relied on. It's all a bit of a mess tho'.

After fresh install it's not good.

Samme message.

dracut Warning: Could not boot.
dracut Warning : /dev/mapper/sil_aja***p2 does not exit


ls /dev/mapper

sil_aja***2 without "p"

For your information I make a new installation.

When I make the installation from stage2,

In the tty2:
ls /dev/mapper

sil_aja***p2  (with "p")

After the installation the system reboot.

dracut stop and want the partition with "p" but

dracut Warning : /dev/mapper/sil_aja***p2 does not exit

ls /dev/mapper

sil_aja***2 without "p"

It's ok. It's possible i make the last installation with the bad version.

Now with the 38-2mga5 it's ok.
