Doing some investigation I found, that for some reason I've got "root=/dev/" in boot parameters in /boot/grub/menu.lst. I changed it to proper root partition and system now boot. Also I should note, that root partition only changed in default menu item and item corresponding to the installed kernel (i.e. desktop 3.15.6-1.mga5). Another entries, like failsafe has proper root partition. After last update this still happens. I even changed before root revice by specifying UUID instead of device path. And I still got 'root=/dev/' after update. Source RPM:
