Description of problem:
At https://forums.mageia.org/en/index.php where I posted a new topic I could not type a subject that explains fully what it is about because the max length  of the subject is too short.
Me and others are not that good with words that we can formulate a subject in a very low amount of words.

Please increase the max length of the subject of a topic.

I hit that limit once too. I would welcome 20-30 more characters as well ;).

Cannot be easily changed, the affected databases need to be updated to allow longer fields, and also the phpbb code also needs to be adjusted: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=545099

To make a long story short and to keep it honest, we currently don't have any test environment, this cannot be implemented in the near future (say next few years to be realistic). I'm sorry, but closing this one.


Totally apart from that, the subject should be meaningful, but it's not meant to hold whole stories.

"[SOLVED] basket - issues with multiple password dialogs" would be totally sufficient. As the whole thread is indexed, a search for "basket password" will find your thread in any case: https://forums.mageia.org/en/search.php?keywords=basket+password
