This version provides a number of updates to 2.18.0, including updated manuals. We recommend all users to upgrade to this version.

eg.

$ lilypond --png -o comtemporary accidental-contemporary.ly

Should produce a png 'comteporary.png' identical to the one on the web page.

Can also try --pdf or --ps instead of --png
