thierry.vignaud Does this problem still occur in Mageia 5 RC or latest cauldron? Keywords:

NEEDINFO Installed mageia RC, gnome 64 bit (from live), in virtualbox. Gnome is OK (after the first boot), but logging with gnome on Weyland brings back to the login screen. I upgraded the to the latest cauldron release. I installed the complete task "cinnamon", but logging into cinnamon brings the writing: "cinnamon just crashed. You are currently running in fallback mode. Do you want to restart ?" Answering yes brings the same error. The fallback mode actually does not have menus or any other options (not even the log off), just a black desktop with some icons (I can add others). Cinnamon 2D lead to a black screen, without any possibility of interaction or message. This is not a problem connected to the intel, the graphic card is of course the standard VBOX graphic. CC:

girlando (In reply to Alberto Girlando from comment #2) > This is not a problem connected to the intel, the graphic card is of course > the standard VBOX graphic. While symptoms might be similar, I'm not sure this is exactly the same bug, see, reverting to 911 makes it work for the original reporter. Please open a new bug report against the task-cinnamon package. OK Samuel, opened new bug on task-cinnamon. (In reply to Samuel Verschelde from comment #1) > Does this problem still occur in Mageia 5 RC or latest cauldron? No reply from Joseph Wang and no activity in this report since over two years ago, so closing as OLD. Resolution:
