Description of problem:
It is not possible to create rar archives (while it is possible to uncompress them using the unrar utility).
It could be useful to have this utility added to the Mageia distribution packages.

I don't know that we should be encouraging people to create rar files, but FWIW I see a "rar" package exists in Debian, Ubuntu, and Gentoo.

Rar is not an opensource/free software and is a shareware software per its license. We can not provide closed source/non-redistributable software. Closing as wontfix
