I read a similar bug report, where it seems nvidia-drivers caused the problem. I have no nvidia graphics card, so this must be another issue.

maybe, it was affecting some other card too,

what does say rpm -q p11-kit ?

I currently have no mageia on my machine any more, but here on debian jessie amarok crashes, too. I have tested that it only crashes when the analyzer applet is added, so it really seems to be a graphics driver issue. My graphics card in use is an integrated intel card. Installing p11-kit did not change anything.

Sorry, i mistoke this bug for another one, making amarok crash on startup.

I have now tested it on fresh mageia 4 install:
It only crashes when BOTH it is not already configured (i.e. only when starting the initial wizard) AND the oxygen-transparent widget style is used. The default backlist of oxygen-transparent holds kdenlive, but a bug in oxygen-transparent (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332732) lets the blacklist initially be ignored.
So this is no mageia specific bug and will be solved, when the above linked bug gets solved.
