Description Magnus Rasche 2011-05-18 11:10:40 CEST
Description of problem:

It is not possible to add an network printer via samba if the local firewall is enabled. But this runs on mdv 2010.2.

If I disable the firewall an can add the network printer

It appears following message:
There are no printer shares. Please check that the Samba service is selected as the 'trusted' in your firewall configuration.

[root@localhost etc]# LC_ALL=c system-config-printer
/bin/sh: warning: setlocale: LC_ALL: cannot change locale (c)

        Using the fallback 'C' locale.

@ Magnus

Is this still a problem in current cauldron?

Comment 2 Magnus Rasche 2011-10-13 21:08:13 CEST
It seems ok.

If I enable the firewall and the cups-option isn't enabled,
I don't see my network-(samba)-printer.
I think that's ok.

If I enable now the cups-option in the firewall, I see the printer and can use .

This thing will be one of the first tests for Mageia2 alpha :-)

My system is a-bit
