I am using PulseAudio Volume Control from the main menu, Sound & Video Control Then change in Tab Output Devices Port: Headphones (unplugged) to Port: Line Out (Unplugged) I then get the tone, but after a reboot, the setting is back to: Port: Headphones (unplugged When does this bug get assigned? assigning to coling CC:

yullaw @ Martin Volf I think my problem is different. My problem is, the settings get reset every time the PC reboots. This bug is still present in mga5. It seems to be an upstream bug. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1334329 Whiteboard:
