We recently pushed an update of 'remmina' because it missing the desktop file, but now :

Indeed you are right it really missing translations for the desktop file.

it is now fixed and submitted on Cauldron (.mga5) :

Remmina French translation update patch

Here's a patch containing the latest updated French translation (that I already sent to upstream).
May I ask you to make an ultimate build including this patch please?

He missing translations of the desktop file, that are available in the Upstream sources.
We fixed this problem for Cauldron, and now for mga4 too.

To fix this bug we added all translations available from Upstream sources on the desktop file.

Only for French user: 
Davy Defaud proposed a patch to improve the French translation of 'remmina' and 'remmina-plugins-common'.
If you wish you can test it (note that it is optional for the tests).
Thanks to Davy defraud for his work.

- Install 'remmina' package from core/updates.
  
- Check if 'remmina.desktop' file is translated, for this you can do :
  
  $ cat /usr/share/applications/remmina.desktop

- Now install 'remmina' package from core/updates_testing.
- Check again if 'remmina.desktop' file is now translated :

- Try if the desktop file works well and if he is translated on your system.

Tested mga4_64,

Testing complete for remmina-1.0.0-4.2.mga4, Ok for me and I confirm that bug is fixed here with this update.

Thanks for testing and the procedure David. As you actually built this update we still need somebody independent to verify it please before it can be validated.

  Remmina desktop file was missing translations and so would only display 
  the English name and summary. The update corrects this.

  Additionally a patch has been added to improve French translations in 
  Remmina. Thanks to Davy Defaud for his work which has been contributed 
  upstream.
