works here, issue with an extension ? Could be. How do I find out? On startup from konsole I always get this: (process:5719): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed (firefox:5719): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::sm-connect after class was initialised (firefox:5719): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::show-crash-dialog after class was initialised (firefox:5719): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::display after class was initialised (firefox:5719): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::default-icon after class was initialised The extensions I have are: DivX Web Player Iced Tea Web Plugin 1.4.2 Java Plugin 10.52.1 Quicktime Shockwave Skype Buttons for Kopete VLC multimedia Plugin VLC Web Plugin Windows Media Plugin start it without and enable them one by one, btw these are plugin not extensions, but may be the cause too. I haven't got any extensions. I'll try to analyse as you suggested. Even with all plugins switched off firefox crashes I just had a crash on TexStudio, so maybe its not a firefox issue, but an OS/distribution/installation issue. Firefox is just the usual suspect because its run more frequently than other apps. How do I get more info out of the system to when crashes occur? I'll close this one. It seems to be my hardware that wrecks my system. With memtest86 I got 64000++ errors. Status:
