Description of problem:
The nco packages is not present in Mageia repositories.


The package exists in: Mandriva 2011, Mandriva 2010.1, and earlier.

NCO is a suite of programs known as operators. The operators are stand-alone,
command-line programs executable in a POSIX shell. Operators take one or more
netCDF files as input, perform operations (e.g., averaging, hyperslabbing),
and produce a netCDF output file. NCO was originally designed to manipulate and
analyze climate data, though it works on any netCDF format datasets.

I need this software because is part of the scientific tools that I use in everyday work for processing netCDF files.

I dwonloaded and installed a Fedora binary package and it works.

The package downloaded was "nco-4.3.7-1.fc20.x86_64.rpm" because all the dependecy were satisfied.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.
