Description of problem:
I have suspicion, KMS is not work on my hardware. It is enabled for nouveau?
1. Graphic desktop accel in KDE doesn't work ( When I it with hand activating, desktop is frozing)
2. 1080p film is not playable (on manriva 2010.2 is playing fain with nouveau). CPU is not on 100%.
3. performance in graphic games is too low 


p.s. Is weird why 3D is working. Because I read "noveaveu 3D accel is do not work without KMS".

Install beta Magiela on hardware with NV40 (GeForce 7300 GT)

and I donÂ´t see on this log

You have 3D acceleration because you have lib*dri-drivers-experimental installed (check the description of that package). (I'd try uninstalling this package).

What's the output of 'cat /proc/cmdline' ?

Nouveau doesn't work at all without KMS, so yes, you have KMS enabled and working.

Your issues are something else.

You mean problem is with nouveau DDX driver?

The upstream docs are probably out-dated.

Yes, the "[drm] kernel modesetting in use" message was removed in January 2010.

If you experience stability issues, I'd advise to remove the lib64dri-drivers-experimental package so that the experimental 3D acceleration is not used.

Hi,

I mean 1. problem is between KDE and mesa support for for ARB_, (or something else). Because I make new clean user and acceleration of KDE is working. (it may be problem with KDE widgets)
2. wrong ffmpeg? without optimization?
3. When I saw performance on other PC with nouveau and mesa 7.10, I mean for this hardware is performance OK.
