well not for us but upstream. You can try simple-scan which looks more modern

Hallo Manuel,
maybe you understand me wrong. It is not question of look and feel. It's all about the logo/symbol that has a low resolution. Other distris deliver a logo with a good resolution for xsane. I think it would be a good idea to make Mageia a little bit nicer without a lot of work.

ok sorry.

Just checked source and it seems indeed, there is now 16,32,48p icon available so not need to do conversion http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/xsane/current/SPECS/xsane.spec?view=markup#l86

(and a .999 is available)

This has been fixed, since the xpm file is already 32x32, I did not change any of the images below 48x48 as there shouldn't be any scaling issues with those images. All I changed was the 48x48 image as that one had to be upsized, I am using the png file in the source :)
