marja11 I'm using Mageia 1 and no update for this package available. Pinging. because nothing happened to this report since more than 3 months ago, and it still has the status NEW or REOPENED. @ Anssi Please set status to ASSIGNED if you think this bug was assigned correctly. If for work flow reasons you can't do that, then please put OK on the whiteboard instead. Decided to try Mageia 2 Beta (as an old Mandrake user and I think Mageia is closest to how I think a distro should be). First issue after installing is that during boot process I get a massive list of messages, apparently never-ending... hitting esc stops the messages and gets me finally properly booted into Mageia. I have a "RS780D [Radeon HD 3300]" integrated display driver. I think my problem could be related to this bug as I find e.g. in /var/log/dmesg: [ 15.684238] [drm:radeon_ttm_backend_bind] *ERROR* failed to bind 1280 pages at 0x00000000 [ 15.688752] radeon 0000:01:05.0: object_init failed for (5242880, 0x00000002) [ 15.692982] [drm:radeon_gem_object_create] *ERROR* Failed to allocate GEM object (5242880, 2, 4096, -22) [ 15.715113] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 15.719244] WARNING: at drivers/gpu/drm/radeon/radeon_gart.c:184 radeon_gart_bind+0xd8/0xe0 [radeon]() [ 15.723446] Hardware name: System Product Name [ 15.727637] trying to bind memory to uninitialized GART ! thierry.vignaud Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja Keywords:
