ASSIGNED Currently xfce4-mixer is used as a default mixer so the answer is no. You can remove xfce4-mixer from the tray if you want to use another mixer. Disk space is cheap nowadays so there's no harm to keep xfce4-mixer installed. If you want to get rid of it, you can remove it with 'rpm -e --nodeps' and add it to urpmi's skip list. For now I'm closing this as WONTFIX. Status:
