If you press Alt+Ctrl+F1 does the display switch to tty1?

Comment 3 Dan Joita 2011-03-03 09:42:42 CET
yes, i think i used to press Alt+Ctrl+F6, log in and startx, as i said up there

i had a kernel panic problem and couldn't boot mageia, that's why i didn't answer

too bad i don't know what i did to make the panic disappear, that's how i was used to solving problems in windows... i was just doing something to solve problems even if i didn't know all the consequences
Comment 4 Ahmad Samir 2011-03-09 21:19:39 CET
Well, if the problem is fixed now, we can close, and you can reopen if it resurfaces or can reproduce it?
Comment 5 Dan Joita 2011-03-11 20:59:29 CET
nope it is not fixed, the kernel panic is fixed... i still have to Alt+Ctrl+F6, log in and startx

and btw, did you read what i sent you about those bugs, should i be a part of the triage team?
Comment 6 Dan Joita 2011-03-16 18:39:27 CET
alfa 2 doesn't have the problem, i'll close it
