The -workspace package in the repos uses:
"for i in /etc/X11/Xresources/*; do\n"
"  [ -f $i ] && xrdb -merge $i\n"
"done\n"

while in fact /etc/X11/Xresources is a file not a directory, this has been fixed upstream. You may consider adding this patch to the Mageia package: http://commits.kde.org/kde-workspace/0197011030d6e8a6fba95325a6ca6da30421b2b6

Looks like the patch is included in kdebase4-workspace-4.6.3-3.mga1
