Description of problem:

The first icon that used be available under 'activities' for "Install on hard disk" has disappeared, it is now only in the long list that can be pulled over the desktop from the last checkerboard icon under 'activities'

the funny thing is, that when you click on the "Install on HD" icon in the tablet-like menu, that it then immediately pops up as one-but-last item in the Activities list

That is only because it is still active.
