I think that I saw the same problem.
I tried to configure the default entry with MCC with grub2.
After the reboot, the entry is not changed.
Coming again in the MCC, the default entry is marked as specified in the previous step.
There is no message in the console.

Click "Modify". 
Select "Default".
OK
Finish.The computer has 4 Mageia and Windows. 
Necessary to make the boot windows by default.
Start the MMC-Boot-Set up boot system.
Choose "GRUB2 with graphical menu".
Click "NEXT".
Choose "WINDOWS ...."
After rebooting loaded by default Mageia.

well use grub-customizer, drakboot is not fully integrated.

Will make a copy from was is in mga3 errata to mga4
