Description Götz Waschk 2014-01-17 16:54:10 CET
If you encode to mp3 using sound-juicer (will require some gstreamer packages from tainted), the resulting files will have a missing xing header and mp3 players cannot detect the correct track length. I haven't found a way to edit the used gstreamer pipeline, apparently it is not gnome-audio-profiles-properties

Mageia 5
sound-juicer-3.14.0-2.mga5
Various gstreamer packages including
gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly-1.4.3-2.mga5.tainted

MP3Diag reports a xing header see attached screen capture

I am by no means a mp3 expert but this suggests the bug is fixed.
